Poor Poland and Lithuania can't work out whether they're friends or not.

So there is some major flooding happening on the south east coast of Australia, especially Victoria. Actually I think it's only Victoria. They always flood. ALWAYS.

Properties have been damaged but no ones drowned or anything. But the flood is so deep it practically comes up to ones chest. Depending on how tall you are. It'd probably come to my chin >>;

But here in Adelaide, South Australia, no floods. Not even in the southern suburbs. But we had a real heavy storm last night. I woke up five minutes before it began and couldn't get to sleep because of all the thunder and lightning flashes.

So, Australian weather in a nutshell "OH GAWD ITS SO HOT. SO HOT FOR SO LONG. WE'RE IN A DROUGHT OH EM GEE WE'RE GONNA DIE! WAIT WHAT'S THAT? RAIN? HOORAY! OH WAIT NO TOO MUCH TOO MUCH! OH GREAT. NOW WE'RE FLOODING."

It's never stable.

Around the same time though, Christchurch in New Zealand suffered a 7.1 earthquake and are still suffering through the aftershocks. Properties have been smashed, luckily no ones dead C: my thoughts go out to all those in Christchurch, hope you guys make it through and that nature stops picking on you.

A companion piece to the floods one. Sort of.

Poor New Zealand. Christchurch suffered a horrible earthquake measuring 7.1 and a lot of aftershocks, the biggest being 5.4. Fortunately, no one died or was even injured severely. A lot of property was damaged though thus rendering a lot of families homeless. But aid is coming in from all sides, even here in Australia. We're helping, even though we have our own floods to worry about <3

The reason why Zea's left knee is scraped is because I read a fan fiction about the quakes and Christchurch was Zea's left leg, geographically speaking. I thought that was a clever idea

It's hard colouring Zea, I had no idea if he/she should have blond or brown hair. I've seen most fan art depict him/her with blond. Ugh, I just wish Himaruya would bring out a colour scheme soon ;______; (and a gender)

To all those in Christchurch suffering through the quakes, I hope all the best for you.

SO.

Somehow, I found out that Hungary wasn't fully part of the Ottoman Empire until the 17th century. I figured at that point, Hungary is at her adolescence and so is Greece. Then I imagined them together in the Ottoman house together. Then somehow, they became a pairing in my eyes. And somehow...

It's become my secret OTP.

WUT.

YEAH. I KNOW.

But somehow, it's just so cute to me ;A;

I also tried looking for some Greece/Hungary stuff coz surely, it must exist right? But I couldn't find anything TT^TT

Canonically, these countries do have a have good relationship.

Greece's costume was based off a sketch from a Turkish man I found of 17th century Ottoman empire. There were sketches of Greek women, but none of Greek men except a flower merchant, whose clothes you could hardly see but from what you could, it seemed pretty similar to the Turkish man.

I love this guy, I love drawing him, his hair is so much fun fdhjfhsk <3

Trying different styles with drawing and whatnot. My style can never stay consistent. Oh well.

I always make his hair messier than what it actually is but UNNNNNF BEDHAIR<3

Also, I draw a cross on him because about 98% of Greeks I know wear their cross without even being overly religious. I know I'm not and I still wear mine. Besides I think he looks better (and more Greek lolololol) with one.

Nnnnggggh I feel bad that I actually ship these two, mostly because they're both Asian and it's like "oh hey, lets pair the Asians coz they're both Asians lololol" BUT. BUT. THEY'RE CUTE. NNNNGGGGHH.

Also, this must mean Mike will get some attention and will now have more than one line in every few episodes. He will get his own solo song! Oh yes please! For some reason, I picture him singing Usher's Burn and dancing like a machine with his shirt open.....

Just some doodles of my favourite characters of Glee. Except for Rachel. She can choke on her own voice for all I care. And yes, Finn was totally Kurt's long before Rachel.

Of course my ultimate favourite is Kurt. He is just amazing. Chris Colfer <3<3

Mercedes was fun to doodle, I've never really drawn big girls like that before I don't think... and I'm actually proud how Finn turned out. I thought he'd be the hardest to draw xD

That Quinn/Sam thing was based on the preview of this weeks episode where they where rehearsing in the astronomy room. Sam tries to be all smooth, but I found amusement in the fact that Sam's planet of love was Mars...

Each panel took me about 2-3 hours. I've never done anything like this before. I just used the brush tool, I didn't use the lasso at all, so it's technically not a vector...

I'm just glad I got this one done. All that's left is to print.

An ugly 15 minute doodle of Sam Evans!

I will be seriously pissed if Kurt/Sam does not happen. I mean, no doubt, Sam and Quinn DO have some chemistry, but if they were to be a legit couple, it'd just be Finchel 2.0 and I just can't have that coz one is enough. Their relationship would be boring and cliche. I can't see any character development happening. They'd just hold hands and lean against each other in Glee club, and Finchel already does enough of that for us. He really seems to love those eyes for some reason....
Also, they look like brother and sister and it's weird.

Kurt/Sam on the other hand... I mean, I sensed chemistry in the recent episode, especially the shower scene as Kurt walked away: "I DON'T DYE MY HAIR.""Mm-hmm." not to mention the whole "coming out of the closet and dealing" thing that'd happen with Sam = MAJOR character development plus makes the character much more interesting. Not to mention, Kurt finally gets some lovin' he deserves so much.

All that being said, I mentioned before too, I wouldn't mind a massive pentagon with Blaine/Kurt/Sam/Quinn/Puck. Hell, throw Finn in there too, he still has feelings for Quinn. And heck I like Quinn/Finn SO SO MUCH MORE than Finn/Rachel.

Ughhh.... In between rumours and never trusting what Ryan Murphy says it's hard to predict what will come of season 2.

But if Quam does happen, and not Skurt (or Kum), there will be a massive massive mob of rabid fangirls, because the fandom has invested so much emotion into Sam/Kurt already.

Inside joke from the Kurt/Sam thread.

Anyone noticed how Kurt has 124 unread messages on his iPhone on that clip of the girls mash-up? Seriously xD

Then a joke started that it was all from Sam sending him "Lor Menari" over and over.

This is also a parody of AVPS. Since Darren is now in Glee it's kinda relevant to put AVPM/AVPS and Glee together now. I will have RM's babies if Blaine is ever seen eating red vines.

Yes, it's Hetalia.

DON'T KILL ME. OH PLEASE DON'T.

I tried to avoid Hetalia like the plague. It was insanely popular and I knew someone who would always spam desu it, so I thought it was one of those overrated animes like Bleach and Naruto. But I managed to catch some clips and got a good chuckle out of them and decided it's not that bad. But I haven't looked at it since (except when I bought that Russia figure at Animania last year...) But when I hear news of the dub, I decided to watch it all.

And I love it.

It's just... ahh, I just love political humour. And I love the way it interprets history, almost in a way that makes you believe that's what happened (like when Germany and Italy pinky swore = Italo-German Alliance Pact of Steel, 1939). And it's educational BD

Granted it's not the best anime in the world, and the episodes could be longer than say, 5 minutes. But it is pretty good. And sometimes, despite episodes being around 5 minutes, there's enough in there to keep you satisfied and make it feel like a typical 25 minute anime.

Well, whatever. I like it, k thnx.

And my favourite character is not any of the main ones at all, but rather a character that hardly ever shows up and when he does, he's sleeping half the time. That's right, it's Greece/Heracles. And Greece is my country of origin. So it may be a little biased, him being my favourite, but I love his personality too. So mellow and carefree, so kind and sweet and despite blank stares he has such knowledge and wisdom <3 And he loves cats too. (Because Greece has a large population of stray cats. But they get fed. Trust me. People feed the stray cats, leave food out for them and stuff, but never keep them in their homes. Which is probably why Greece always has cats around him, but doesn't name them.) Though Greece is my favourite, I still love all the main ones, especially Russia (I have a thing for Yanderes)

About the picture though... I don't even. I just wanted to draw Greece, but this happened. Ashjadksahsjkahk. The cat was added last minute oh lawl. Also, I didn't realise how much brown Greece has until I actually started colouring him.

You know what? I wish a lot more Greeks that I know were like Heracles here....

But they're all a bunch of egotistical faggots with stupid rats-tails, bumbags and Adidas clothing.

I really hope, one day, to find a Greek like Heracles and marry him. Then my Grandparents and I can both be happy ;D

P.S. The cat is saying "Niao" (reading) which is Greek for... meow. ahahaha.
P.P.S You may already know this, but Heracles last name means watermelon C| the spelling is καρπούζι and is actually pronounced "karpouzi" and his first name is Ηρακλής pronounced "iraklys"

Poland and Lithuania actually used to be completely awesome when they were a single commonwealth. Because they were so massive other countries tried to invade and start war, but Poland-Lithuania would beat them up. They used to be allies and had many unions before finally merging into one commonwealth in 1569. Though an equal union, Poland seemed to be the, uh, "dominant" one.
Then one day, almost 200 years later, Russia manages to defeat them (after being defeated many times and having Moscow taken from him for some time) and partition them, splitting them between himself, the Kingdom of Prussia and The Hapsburg Monarchy. Poland and Lithuania ceased as a country for 123 years before being re-established as independent in 1918. Lithuania also declared independence from Russia.
Poland took Vilinus (sp?) from Lithuania in 1920, to which Lithuania was absolutely not happy about. The relationship became even more strained than since the end of the commonwealth.
Lithuania became part of the Soviet Union. In 1939, Germany and Russia invaded Poland, signing a "non-aggression pact" but making a deal on the side to split Poland and take one half for each.
Lithuania did not stand by Poland's side during this, as he was part of the Soviet Union, thus Russia's bitch.
Poland was left to fight on his own, and pretty much got pwned.
Once again, Poland ceased to exist but managed to rise from ashes yet again and separate himself from the Soviet Union (Russia)
In 1991 the Soviet Union was officially split.
Poland started a movement (I forgot the name to) which tried to re-establish the Poland-Lithuania commonwealth, but Lithuania saw it as a threat to his hard-earned independence. (Not to mention Poland was a jerk to him)

Today, they live as separate independent countries.

At least, I think that's how it went. I did some research of my own, but it was very quick and messy. So if there's any errors, please correct me .___.

Hetalia shows their relationship as close but still somewhat strained, I guess. Lithuania is always trying to convince himself he hates Poland, but he can't help caring. Poland, though acting selfish towards Lithuania, shows that he actually cares about him and would like him even if Liet hated him. However, whenever Lithuania thinks back to those days of the commonwealth, he is hit with a wave of longing nostalgia and he also claims them to be the days he was happiest.

Needless to say, Poland/Lithuania is one of my favourite pairings in Hetalia C|

Though I guess it's different in real life. From what I've heard, Lithuanians abhor Poles. :\
Maybe not all of them. I guess there's still bad blood from Vilinus.

Anyway.

I cannot draw Lithuania. At. All. Ffffff.

I had a hard time figuring out how I was gonna colour this. Then I abused it with filters and shit before I gave up and just left as is.

a challenge stolen of where you open a new file, 10 inches by 10 inches at 300 dpi. You pick a color and a brush size. Just on one layer, with nothing but that brush and the eraser, and you fill it with doodles! yay! ~

It's all Hetalia doodles. derp. I should've had more variety but oh well.

Little Greece is the cutest thing ever and the world could do with more of him. He only appeared in one panel of three seperate comics ;___; One where he was bothering a sleeping Turkey, one where he was upset about eating nothing but Turkish food (poor boy ) and one where he welcomes Turkey home after being beaten by Little Italy and his Italian navy.

Himaruya needs to cover the Ottoman Empire already. I just want more younger Greece ;____;
(And he should hurry and get to the Poland war of 1939 kthnx)

There is surprisingly an extra amount of America in here. Oh well.

Oh yeah and I did not zoom in at all for this, so messy sketch is messy.

I really cannot wait for the dub you guys. I watched the first four episodes and I love it

Based on recent political discussion about Australia breaking from the Commonwealth and becoming a republic. So of course Britain would be in rage, right? Thing is, the Australian public is all "FFFF REPUBLIC NO" and thus the debate/topic/issue/fuckthisshit is still in the air. Nothing has been done about it.

And we haven't even got our election over and done with yet.

Apparently though, in the 90's we were all pro-republic but somehow we couldn't become one. Something about money, I don't know.

It's the same bullshit as when they were discussing changing our flag and getting rid of the Union Jack :I

I guess over the years we're all sick of Australian politics and would rather throw shrimp on the barbies or watch the footy or whatever it is us Aussie's do.

Also, NZ is there coz, like, we've been proposing to New Zealand for years. Since we claimed our own independence. And they refused all the time. Maybe it's just out of spite because of all the foreigners who mistake NZ as part of Aus. We offered them for us to break from the commonwealth and form one of our own I guess. And NZ was all "pfff no. you stupid."

I'm really not sure how anything goes anymore. It get's complicated. I just wanted to draw NZ coz he's cute. And yes I think he's a boy. I swear to fucking god Himaruya, a NZ+Aus strip soon kthnx.

So, overall, Australian politics = complete bullshit, because Aussies are too lazy to do anything about it.
